Overview

TOP 10 Holiday Parks is a New Zealand network of holiday parks sold under one brand, with 52 locations from Northland to Southland. Parks share a booking site, a cancellation policy and the TOP 10 Club loyalty scheme. Facilities, pet rules and rates still vary from park to park.

This guide isn't sponsored, and we don't earn commission from TOP 10 bookings.

Classic, Superior and Premium

Every TOP 10 park has one of three classifications, which tell you what facilities and amenities to expect:

  • Classic
  • Superior
  • Premium

TOP 10 publishes the criteria for each on its park classifications page. Among the parks we've profiled, Hot Water Beach is Premium. Rotorua Blue Lake, Taupō and Queenstown are Superior.

Dogs

TOP 10 has a network dog policy, but each park sets its own rules:

  • Hot Water Beach: Dogs on sites only, outside peak season and public holidays.
  • Taupō: Non-peak times only, by arrangement.
  • Queenstown: Certain times of year only, with the managers' permission. A $250 fee applies if pets are found in facilities.
  • Rotorua Blue Lake: Pet-friendly, with terms and conditions.

Glamping at TOP 10

Several TOP 10 parks offer safari tents, domes, yurts, pods or glamping cabins. See our glamping guide for where to find each style.

TOP 10 and other brands

Some parks carry TOP 10 branding but are owned by other groups. For example, Hampshire Holiday Parks runs parks branded Carters Beach TOP 10, Kaikōura TOP 10 and Ōhope Beach TOP 10.
